Registration Process


The 2020 Retreat will be Monday, August 24 to Thursday, August 27 at the Burren College of Art

To inquire about receiving an invitation, contact Retreat founder Mary Stacey.  Once you have completed this step, you will be able to register.

Retreat Costs


We look forward to welcoming 25 leaders from around the world, and do expect that the spaces will fill quickly.

  • Program Fees:

    • Full fee 
      (if you work in a corporation, large organization, public body): €3250

    • Not-for-profit fee 
      (if you work in an NGO or independent, small business):  €1975

  • Food and Accommodation: €595

  • You can hold your place with a deposit of €1200 (€605 programme/€595 accommodations & meals).
    The balance is due by June 30 or, if you register after that date, within 30 days of the programme start.

Your Accommodation


The Retreat runs from August 24-27, and we recommend you consider spending additional time in the Burren.


Accommodation should be selected based on the length of your stay and travel distance.  


Cottage accommodation with breakfast at the College is most suitable if you are traveling a long distance or plan to spend some additional time in the Burren. It is available Sat. Aug 22 – Sat. Aug 29, inclusive.


Traditional Burren thatched-roof cottages typically accommodate three participants. Most have one ensuite room and two rooms with a shared bath. The cottages have kitchen facilities available and a local grocery store nearby.


Hotel accommodation with breakfast included is most suitable if you are coming for the retreat only. It is available 3 nights, Mon Aug 24 – Wed Aug 26, inclusive. You can book extra nights if you prefer this accommodation type.


Both Cottage and Hotel accommodation are located in the Village of Ballyvaughan and walkable to all amenities. A shuttle service is provided for transportation to the College, a short distance away.

Meals (breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and refreshments) are included during the Retreat (August 24-27)

Refund and Cancellation Policy


If you must cancel a registration, please e-mail Julia Long our programme coordinator at the College.

Cancellations made more than one month in advance of the Retreat will be refunded in full minus a €250 administrative fee.

Cancellations made less than one month in advance are subject to a forfeiture of 50% of the registration fee plus the administration fee.

Cancellations made within two weeks of the Retreat or no shows are not eligible for a refund. If registration is cancelled at any time, you can choose to send a colleague in your place, who would benefit from and make a valuable contribution to the programme. Alternatively, you can apply your fees to saving your place in the following year’s programme.
